At this Training Team Planning Meeting this Monday, February 10th, we will be focusing preparations for our big training at Asbury Church on February 20th and giving everyone (who wants one) assigned roles. There is much to do. We will also be going over our status of our future trainings. Since time will be limited, please come prepared to quickly give an update on everything you've been doing to coordinate future trainings. We want to hear it all!
We are so excited about our training on February 20th. We will be focusing primarily on sex trafficking in Washington, DC and around the streets of Asbury Church near 11th and K Streets NW. Retired FBI Special Agent, Greg Bristol, is going to present what more law enforcement can do to end slavery. Cindy Gustafson is giving an overview of our new "End Demand" campaign. Two new trainers, Donna and Tesa, will be presenting how human trafficking IS modern day slavery and who are "at risk" to become trafficked. I have updated our "What Would You Do" training slides with more circumstances where one might see human trafficking in their daily lives, such as at nail salons, checking into hotels or on the streets of DC, and new ideas on how people can become more involved with the cause.
Thank you to everyone for making our last planning meeting such a wonderful success and for all your great ideas for our February 20th training. I look forward to seeing everyone at this planning meeting on the 10th!
