Monthly Training Action Team Planning Meeting

Hello everyone,

We are thrilled to hold the next Training Action Team Planning Meeting on Thursday, April 17th. Our tentative agenda is below.

We are going to celebrate our successes of holding and participating in 10 training sessions on combating human trafficking. We are also going to be forming Training Team Subcommittees for training sessions focused on teens, university students, women, faith-based organizations, and other groups (such as at ANC meetings). You are not obligated to stay on one subcommittee. You can still bring all your wonderful ideas for training sessions that may be for different subcommittees. This only means that you will have more subcommittee leaders to support your ideas!

Please be thinking about any current roles within DC SMS you might like to fulfill as there are many opportunities for everyone to participate on our Training Team Subcommittees, our Advocacy Team, our Communications Team, and this year's WalkFest Coordination Team!  It takes a village and DC SMS has such a noble mission to assist human trafficking victims and survivors in a variety of ways.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday.

Sincerely,

Connie

Hello, I'm a journalism and women's studies student at The University of Maryland and wanted to do an end of the year project profiling an organization involved with preventing human trafficking. I'd love to come to the meeting on Thursday and get to know those involved with the group. Would that be ok? Feel free to reach me at [masked] or[masked]
    Thank you!
