The New York Avenue Presbyterian Church (map)

Were you aware that Valentine’s Day has a dark side? Everyone loves chocolate on Valentine’s Day. But for thousands of people, chocolate is the reason for their enslavement -- even nearly a decade after the major players in the cocoa industry promised to resolve these problems.
Join us on February 12th, for a film screening of The Dark Side of Chocolate followed by a discussion about our roles as consumers in the human trafficking industry. We will also take action to end the exploitation of children in the cocoa fields and ensure that cocoa is a source of joy for all children and not just some. There will be door prizes and fair trade chocolate samples (provided by Theo Chocolate and Sjaak's Organic Chocolate).
You will have the opportunity to:
WHEN: Sunday, February 12th, 2012 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
