We are a community group of purpose, goals, and action. We seek to combat modern slavery, which is the economic exploitation of individuals through the use of violence and coercion, and human trafficking, which is the modern-day slave trade. Come join us and explore how you can take part!

OUR MISSION
To end slavery and human trafficking forever by leveraging the power of the community to - Create a forum for education, engagement, and action - Foster grassroots movements for local change in our own community and around the world, and - Complement existing efforts of NGO’s, government, private sector, and the community.
OUR ACTION
Raising awareness - Conducting grassroots campaigns - Sponsoring and coordinating events - Raising funds for anti-slavery movement - Advocating effective anti-slavery related policy - Empowering and guiding other groups - Inspiring others to take action.
To investigate instances of human trafficking to determine how US federal and state legislation, law enforcement and administrative policies could be changed to prevent human trafficking in all its forms.
To review the US commitment to human rights through international human rights treaties and obligations.
To provide feedback to the United Nations about the United States record in addressing human trafficking and to highlight areas where the U.S.A. could improve efforts to prevent human trafficking and to provide meaningful support to victims of human trafficking.
To participate in the Universal Periodic Review of the U.S.A. as a stakeholders working with the Medical Whistleblower Advocacy Network to provide a formal report to the United Nations through the UPR process.
Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a unique process which involves a review of the human rights records of all UN Member States. The UPR is a State-driven process, under the auspices of the Human Rights Council, which provides the opportunity for each State to declare what actions they have taken to improve the human rights situations in their countries and to fulfil their human rights obligations.
As one of the main features of the Council, the UPR is designed to ensure equal treatment for every country when their human rights situations are assessed. The ultimate aim of this mechanism is to improve the human rights situation in all countries and address human rights violations wherever they occur.
