Why are you (getting) involved in the fight against human trafficking?

I've always been interested in the subject of human trafficking and did quite a bit of research on it in undergrad. My dad is from the Philippines, so when I realized the gravity of the situation in Southeast Asia, with rural, low-income villages (like my dad's) being key targets, I wanted to do more than just read about trafficking. I wanted to act.

Looking to support existing anti-trafficking efforts in the DC community through building cross-sector, cross-organization partnerships and promoting more collaboration amongst stakeholders.
