Introduction

Hi Everyone! It is an honor to serve as organizer for DC Stop Modern Slavery. I am awed daily by the passion, commitment, and creativity of this group. Feel free to shoot me or one of my co-organizers a message. We'd love to hear from you!

Why are you (getting) involved in the fight against human trafficking?

A Call+Response screening a little over two years ago struck a cord w/my lifelong passion for human dignity and ever since I'd been looking for an opportunity to get involved. Was elated to find DC SMS when I moved to DC

What Danielle is saying about this Meetup Group

"In Plain Sight" is inspired by my "Bought and Sold" series of images that will be projected and integrated with dance, movement and original music.

Performances are scheduled for November 18, 19 and 20 at Strathmore Music Center.

  • Hi Danielle, I am very passionate about anti-trafficking. However, I just realize that I had a previous engagement tonight. When will this meet up be over, if it ends later at 10 p.m., then I still can make it.

  • Hi Danielle,
I work for the Department of Justice, and I focus on Trafficking in Persons. I am going to try and make it on Tuesday night. I just found out that I have a meeting scheduled for 5:30 that day, so depending on how long that goes....hope to make the event!
