Hey DC SMSers!

As preparation for Saturday's walk so we can familiarize and remind ourselves of just why we are working so hard to raise money to fight human trafficking, DC Stop Modern Slavery has organized several special screenings of Not My Life to run at area colleges in the days leading up to the walk. 

If you're still trying to persuade that last friend why he/she should sign up for the walk and why human trafficking is such a travesty, bringing them to one of these free screenings could be the thing that pushes them over the edge from interested bystander to committed activist.

Not My Life took four years to film and spans five continents. The film covers the many diverse manifestations of modern-day slavery with a special emphasis on child trafficking. You can watch a trailer of the documentary at

Catholic University

When: Tuesday, Oct. 18, 5:30p.m.

Where: CUA Columbus School of Law, Room 303

Snacks and drinks will be supplied.


American University

When: Wednesday, Oct. 19, 6:30p.m.

Where: Ward 2

There will be snacks and drinks and a panel discussion following the film.


Georgetown University

When: Thursday, Oct. 20, 6:30p.m.

Where: CarBarn 201

There will be pizza and drinks and a panel discussion following the film.
