From: Rachel
Sent on: Tuesday, March 5, 2013 6:33 AM

If you’d like to see your anti-human trafficking news or event promoted in the newsletter, send all information to [address removed] no later than Saturday afternoon.

REMINDER – What do you know about the presence of modern-day slavery in Prince George’s County?

You can learn more by attending a countywide community solutions conference this Saturday. This event is sponsored by the Prince George’s Human Relations Commission, the Prince George’s Commission for Women and the City of District Heights, Maryland.

For more information on presentations, sponsorship opportunities and attendance, please contact the Prince George’s County Human Relations Commission at (301)[masked] or by e-mail at [address removed]

When: Saturday, March 9, 8:30a.m. – 12:00p.m.

Where: The District Heights Community Center, District Heights, Md.

REMINDER– We at DC SMS love to promote the fundraisers of other anti-trafficking nonprofits but now the time has come for us to turn out for an event to raise money for our own efforts in the fight against modern day slavery.

Come to a special night of shopping at Tip Top Boutique next Friday evening. While enjoying champagne, you’ll get the chance to browse the boutique’s great selection of gently used designer clothes, hear from and meet the DC SMS leadership team, and learn about the inspiring vision behind Tip Top, which sends 100% of revenue from clothing sales to anti-human trafficking nonprofits.

And did we mention that the proceeds from the night will be used to fund critical DC SMS programs!

When: Friday, March 15, 7:30 p.m.

Where:[masked]st St. NW (in Hamilton Court)
