Dreams of Freedom - Wednesday August 8th

From: Becky

Dear friends,

Next week is the Week of Justice, hosted by National Community Church and Ebenezer's Coffee House. Throughout the week, they will be focusing on different global justice issues, including Fair Trade, HIV/AIDS and Modern Day Slavery. Click on the links to open the flyers, feel free to print them out or email them to your friend & co-workers.

"Dreams of Freedom" is the name of the modern day slavery awareness night, taking place on Wednesday August 8th from 7-9pm at Ebenezers Coffee House (201 F St, NE). Dreams of Freedom will feature Kevin Bales (author of Disposable People and founder of Free the Slaves), as well as representatives from the Dalit Freedom Network, Jubilee Campaign, International Justice Mission, and The Scarlet Project.

There will also be an Indian Dance Performance, and "Survivor Stories" Monologues written by real survivors. Indian food provided by Nirvana Restaurant :)

Hopefully you can attend the Dreams of Freedom night, and feel free to attend any others.
