What: Ron Soodalter, co-author of "The Slave Next Door: Human Trafficking and Slavery in America Today" will be speaking and signing books at Politics and Prose

Human trafficking and slavery are thriving enterprises, though they may not be obvious. Kevin Bales, president of Free the Slaves and sociology professor at London?s Roehampton University, and Ron Soodalter, Lincoln scholar and historian, issue a call to action against exploitative labor, whether of undocumented workers in the U.S. or political prisoners in China.
