CAUSECAST is hosting our next developers meetup: Tuesday October 21st @ 8pm. Check them out at http://www.causecast.... - they provide a one stop shop for all things cause, giving nonprofits, leaders, and members opportunities to collaborate, share their experiences, and promote the causes they care about.
There will be three highly-technical 15 minute talks, plus food & beer provided by our kind hosts.
If you have something technology related to talk about, please send in an overview of what your 15 minute talk would be. It must be technical.
Presentations:
1) Survey of Open Source Full Text Search Solutions
2) Trendy Web Security: what's cool to lose sleep over
3) Load Testing with JMeter
Note: the Erlang presentation previously announced will not be taking place this meetup.

Join us at Los Angeles's biggest meetup for web application developers (software engineers who build websites). Our purpose is to create a thriving developer community in Los Angeles, promote a free exchange of information and connect with each other at bi-monthly (or so) events.
Our events are presentation style. Guests from the community present tips, tricks, new methods, frameworks, tools or anything else interesting to web application development. Our events are hosted by local companies who also enjoy giving back to the community.
Any feedback and suggestions as well as volunteers to help with the group are welcome. Ping one of the admins to see how you can help.
For Presenters:
Show us something new in technology. How to solve a hard problem, how to do something more efficiently.
* No product demos.
* No sales pitches of any sort
For Hosts: You rock, thanks.
See you there!

Erlang is an amazing language. I definitely look forward to learning more about it, along with what other presentations will come about with this next meetup.
