Would you like our Meetups to have a specific topic or to leave it open?

I've been considering whether to nail a topic or few on future meetups. It's been mentioned by members here that that might be a good idea. What do you think? Should we fix a specific topic or two on future meetups and base our discussions around that? That way people will be more aware of what to expect and maybe easier to decide whether that Meetup would be for them or not. On the other hand, should we leave out the topics and have it completely open for whatever we feel like chatting about? That way anyone could show up, regardless of interests or agenda, and discuss whatever strikes their fancy. Both have pros and cons, but I'd really like to know what you all think.
