John Sutton (Director of Interaction Design) and Dustin Collis (Senior Web Developer) from NavigationArts will discuss effective site search at this Web Content Mavens session. NavigationArts is a leading user experience design consultancy that provides Internet strategy, usability, information architecture, interface design, content management, and development services for market leading clients.

More than half of your visitors use site search to find the information they need, and none of them have the patience to wade through incomprehensible results. (Think about your own behavior online!) Effective site search is an indispensible tool that allows your visitors to explore your content, products, and services on their terms. Giving users accurate results translates into repeat visits, increased traffic, page views, and time on site. Implementing and maintaining effective site search functionality is essential -- but it's not easy. John Sutton and Dustin Collis will share their knowledge in this area, providing techniques that can help you improve the functionality on your own site.

This meeting is sponsored by NavigationArts, Percussion Software, and Microsoft.

Just to clarify my note on the side - I thought discussion post-presentation was excellent and very insightful. I'd just like to see more detailed case studies!
