Even without the powerpoint presentation :-)

the content was good, but the venue was at best, difficult. It was very hard to hear and really understand the full thread of what was being discussed. This was a combination of noise from the main restaurant and no microphone or visuals.

Really good speaker--he was highly knowledgeable but still communicated well with audience members who were clearly new to the topic.

General enough and specific enough -- an excellent level of interactivity and opportunity to share/question.

Web analytics are a tool to HELP understand how people use your web sites. If you don't start with good questions that are tied to either sales or cost savings then what is the point? That strikes me as self evident.

Everything the speaker said could be summarized as "make sure everything you do with web analytics helps the business". I can't believe that people needed to be told that. He didn't really have any specific recommendations for how to come up with valuable reports.

I heard many platitudes, but not much that could help people do their jobs better.
