Designing for Today's Web

Shawn Johnston will be with us this month to talk about the possibilities of CSS3 and what it means to how we design or what we can do. He's also planning to talk about getting in on the basement level with responsive design and how you should be designing for it. Shawn is an experienced web designer and creative director and the founder of Interlink Conference in Vancouver.

Open Discussion

Lightning Topics

Attendees are invited to share their experience by giving a (up to 5 min) presentation on any topic of interest to the Web Design community. If you want to use a laptop to show a website or control panel please be sure you have the necessary cable to connect to an overhead projector.

For those who don't need to leave right away there's typically a more social discussion at a local pub afterward.

Join us at 7:00pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at The Network Hub for our meeting and featured presentations.

I would very interested in attending another Vancouver web design meetup. I am a newer designer and would enjoy some quality networking and show my portfolio http://www.blackslatestudios.co...

Really enjoyed the meet. Shawn was very informative. For a graphic designer such as myself learning HTML/CSS it was great to hear of his experiences and opinions regarding web development.

Thanks Shawn. As usual, I learned a few things about the industry.

Interesting topics, for sure, and whilst I knew some of the information being talked about, it was great to hear principles reaffirmed, as well as take in some new concepts. Well worth it!

I'm very sorry to have had to reschedule. I had an emergency client meeting in SFO pop-up that requires me on site. Really looking forward to Jan 18!

We've lined up Steve for Jan 18 for a repeat. We'll look at alternate venues if we sustain the numbers and get people updating their RSVPs. The amount of no shows has been unacceptable.
