As a spin-off from FHNW iNovitas has developed a technology for mobile data collection and provides a cloud service that delivers georeferenced 3D images and Videos. This enables companies, governments and engineers to manage roads and railways more efficiently. Hannes Eugster, Co-Founder and Head of Development will share his insights in putting up a Cloud Services handling huge amounts of big data.
Tagxy Concepts is a young startup that aims to launch a social network App using augmented reality and object based information. Tagxy will give users a tool to design their environment virtually and share their information with others. The founders of Tagxy, CTO Fredrik Gundelsweiler and CEO Jonas Schwarz, will talk about the technology and the business model behind their service.
OpenWebGlobe, a research project at the FHNW, is a virtual globe for interactively visualizing large volumes of geospatial data. It is based on WebGL and therefore runs in web browsers without plugins. With OpenWebGlobe users can create their own web based virtual globe applications. Martin Christen, senior scientist, head of 3D-development, and lecturer at the FHNW, will talk about WebGL and the use of OpenWebGlobe.
