FYI,

I won't be able to make the March 18th meeting because I'm leading a
Java User Group meeting that same night. However, I wanted to let
people know about a free Dyanmic KML Mapping talk being sponsored by
Google at Google the week before this meetup. No advance registration
is required. See event details in forwarded message below.

Cheers, Van

For those of you who couldn't get enough of Mano's witty remarks from
our first session on Quick & Dirty KML, this time he's back to show
you the more refined and sophisticated side of KML.

To quote the website (where this is now posted):

"Googler Mano Marks will be demonstrating techniques for using view
based refresh (VBR) and other dynamic querying techniques in KML. He
will show how it works in Google Earth and Google Maps, and talk about
server-side coding techniques for generating the KML. This talk will
be very useful for developers who want to use servers to store data,
and show subsets to their users based on what is displayed in their
 viewport or browser."

Links to the event location and public calendar invite are on the

 Come on by!

p.s. Last night's talk from the GigaPan folks was a great intro to
PhotoOverlays - stay tuned for the Youtube version.
