I was a bit put off by the "Sustainable Las Vegas" theme and

Vegas?

We (Google) went to AAG last year, doing 2 workshops about Google Geo
technologies (maps, earth, etc).

My impression is that the people there were interested in new web
technologies, but also un-familiar with them. For example - there was
only 1 person in the room the first time that knew JavaScript. But
lots of people came up afterwards and asked questions.

I think Google is going back this year again, but I'm not sure if
we're doing a workshop or talk.

I don't know if I myself would go as just an attendee.. look through
those sessions and see if enough sound interesting. :)
