Hey, Tracy and Mia! I remember you recommending a web host during the class and I can't remember the name. I'm just started working with a client on a Wordpress site (yay, me!) and need to set her up with a good host. My host is just ok, would rather refer her to a better service. Thanks! -Cathy Heard

Thanks for a great class! It is one thing to read a book or take a tutorial, but to get best practices from someone who is actually building WordPress sites, is priceless!

It's great to have everyone at YIKES for this class. Getting to hear everyone's views and experiences with WordPress is very valuable. I'm anxious to see how everyone gets to apply what is learned in these classes!

I saw that WordCamp Philly is starting to post presentations from this past Saturday/Sunday. Potentially another good resource as we all get more advanced. http://wpcandy.com/reports/wordcamp-philadelphia-2011-presentations-online

I definitely feel like the first session of meetup could have been a bit better planned and executed. There were some snafus with getting the class through the process of installing Wordpress that sucked up a lot of time. We had to rush through a lot of the night's remaining itinerary, and I'm concerned about time management in the second class, when the bulk of what I'm interested in will be covered. I'm also really hoping that WSW will eventually offer an advanced Wordpress class to get more deeply into theming and maybe plugin development. I'm kicking myself for missing WordCamp Philly for these reasons. On the positive side, all organizers and instructors seem to be bending over backwards to provide resources outside of class time to make up for the rush and potentially skipped material.

FYI I think when this class was sent out in the email it listed the price as $25 when the actual price is $45. This is because originally this was going to be a single run class, and when we switched it to two separate classes we forgot that one little detail. Just wanted to clarify if there was any confusion. : )

I think the topic is great to expand knowledge of WordPress! However, I am not able to fit in attendence to this WSW WordPress event since it is only a few days after WordCamp Philly (a WordPress conference on nov 5/6) which I am volunteering/attending.
