Who organized?
Eric Shafer

There is quite a spectrum in the group as to skill level and technologies. Some of us are open source fiends, others of us have decided to go with Redmond. Still others just want to know where to start.

This meetup will help identify the philosophical differences between the various web designer/developer paths. We will compare and contrast learning various technologies, who should learn what and why. If you want to know where to start, or you want to know how to take you web abilities to the next level, this is the Meeting for you!

By the way, I'd like to collect to donate to Wikipedia. If you would like to participate, just bring your spare change and I will collect it and make a donation on the group's behalf.

I just threw together my first website, so now I'm scrambling to handle all the new business it has generated. Looking forward to hearing how others do it.

I'll try and make it, might be a bit late. Gotta represent Open Source against all you crazy .NETnuke fiends.

    •  Eric always comes prepared to put on a good show!
    •  Excellent! I met some people whom I believe will be very helpful to me. I was turned on to a meetup for internet marketing over near Clear Lake and I believe that is what I need. Lester Buck promised to get me connected. I appreciate what you have and are doing. I think my son was very impressed, I am distressed that my web person did not show. I believe that you have helped me take a step in the right direction to achieve my goal. I am lost in the sea of misdirection, I have been making money in spite of myself but I need to feel I deserve the rewards that come to me. I believe through your's and others effort, I may become capable of getting my hands around (get in control) what I am trying to do. I also believe I will be an asset to others.
    •  I appreciate the effort that went into this event. I have set up presentations, and this was excellently done.
    •  Eric did a great job. It's tough to quickly bring a large group of people together when they don't know each other and there's beer. All in all I thought Eric did a fine job.
    •  Great concept, but I could tell it was difficult to control such a large group. I liked the idea of coming up with a curriculum. I think the concept deserves more attention. I will be going to the next one to see where we go next.
