Eric Shafer

Jared Bienz and Sara Summers from Microsoft will be giving the presentation this month and it will rock your world. Come learn about the development cycle and platform Microsoft is unleashing. If you were at Houston Techfest two years ago, you just got a taste of the development tools and capabilities of this website development process.

This will be great for hard core developers and laymen alike, as you will learn some of the how and lot of the what can be done and really what the Internet will look like in the near future.

This is one of the most exciting Meetups I think this group has had!!

The entrance to the parking garage is on Del Monte Dr. near the Beltway 8 feeder. Guests will need to sign in at the security desk and I’ll have a stamp to validate their parking so they don’t have to pay when they leave.

Sorry- Can't make the rescheduled date. Landed on my birthday and don't think my wife would be too happy if I spent the evening talking Silverlight. :) Have fun.

EVERYONE: Please be very careful entering this address in your GPS. We have people end up at the wrong location a lot. The office is near Beltway 8 and Westheimer. This is on the mid-west side of town off the beltway. For some reason, some GPS units and maps will take you near the airport. This is not correct. Here's a live map of the correct location: http://maps.live.com/?v=2&a...

We'll plug this event at tomorrow's North Houston .NET User Group meeting, too (in The Woodlands). I'll try to come to keep Jared honest. ;) Look forward to meeting this group! -Todd Microsoft MVP Chief Evangelist, Telerik

We can also host this at the Microsoft Houston office if needed. We can fit about 80 to 100 folks.

Will definately be there. I have offered the HAL-PC facilities for the meeting. We can handle 100+ there easily. Also, for those interested, I do a DB and GUI Design SIG there the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9 am to noon. We are currently doing a WPF and SQL Server application to get our hands on the technology.

I don't know alot about the Silverlight and Rapid Development but that's why I joined this group to try and keep up with the technology and learn new things.

Eric, Will be glad to pay a portion of expenses. I am out of the way but I have a downs stairs to my house that can be used, it will accommodate up to 50 people, maybe more depending how friendly they are. We can ice cool our own beer. You can look up address 11601 Wincrest Dickinson, Tx Like I said it is out of the way, sure would make my drive shorter. "smile"
