  • April 10, 2013 · 12:00 PM

Have questions on Windows 8 Development?

This ongoing ONLINE series will provide Windows 8 developers with deep, personalized feedback and support. Developers are encouraged to sign in with their own challenges to be solved and will also benefit from watching and learning the solutions to others' problems. If there are topics that the group would like to request ahead of time, Paul can research and give a small presentation or interactive demo.

Paul DeCarlo, Event Organizer, is a Technology Evangelist at Microsoft. Paul knows the Windows 8 and Windows Phone platforms deeply and is also skilled at using Expression Blend to design user experiences.

What challenges or topics would YOU like to discuss?

I've been hitting some walls getting the MS grid (css) to show up fluidly. I got through them but I don't feel as I know the grid well enough to hand write a UI just yet, without fumbling a bit.

What tips/tricks can be used to get elements to fill height, segment the UI into fluid columns, etc? How best can the grid be used for the snapped and filled views?

    More questions may follow. :-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
