Saturday night fever? on your way out to a big night?!?!
Want your makeup to turn heads?!?! Well, you better learn how to do a good job then!
OK, so it's a little tenuous but there is 'Make' in the title and we're all about the making...for this workshop we're more make up/make over than make THINGS but hey! What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than to come around with your girlfriends and have fun on a makeup workshop at the Makerspace.
Barbara has had many famous people in her make up chair - Benedict Cumberbatch, dwarf Gloin from The Hobbit- could you be next?!?!?
Step by step learn how to build up makeup that looks film quality and turns heads... Eyes - lips - foundation..
There are two ways to play at this workshop
- 4 participants for this course get their full makeup done!
- The other participants for the course get to watch with a good glass of wine and some cheese. Bring your own makeup, so you can try it out yourself while I'm showing you
A perfect start up to your Saturday night!

Who am I...
I'm a Belgian makeup artist. For 9 years I work internationally as a makeup artist for movies, photoshoots, the Opera, parties.. I've had already several big actors in my makeup chair like, Benedict Cumberbatch, dwarf Gloin from The Hobbit..
Because I wanted to brighten up my horizon I came to Wellington with a big dream: to work on The Hobbit. And I succeeded!
Since I got here I also worked on World of Wearable Arts, in Weta Workshop, several short films and shoots.
Makeup is used in a lot of different areas: beauty makeup, face & bodypainting, special effects like wounds and prosthetics, theatre makeup, film makeup.. Each area has its own specific demands but it is still very much related to each other. It takes quite some years to master it all. But really.. the journey is the joyride!
I'm absolutely passionate about my work! And I love to share it! Therefore I'm happy to get you involved and teach you as much as you want about makeup.
I invite you all to come and take part in one or in several classes. I assure you, you will learn a lot and enjoy your time!
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
