Every Friday in November we are going through simple and dependable activities that you can use in your classroom. These workshops are designed for teachers of year 5-10. For beginners and the inquisitive who like to get hands-on with a project. We make sure that you leave with not only ideas but also something tangible too.

2:30pm - 4:30pm (Afterwards we can go to The Hop Garden next door for networking)
Limited to only 10 people per workshop, so book in quickly. We can supply laptops, but if you install any required software beforehand you are welcome to use your own laptop. Afternoon tea and coffee (roasted here) supplied.
Simple introduction to robotics and electronics
From the extremely cheap to the more expensive, we will go through different ways of automation projects in the classroom. We will put together or play with toothbrush robots, Arduinos, Lego Mindstorm robots, Vex Robots and online Robots.
Besides Sci-Fi movies and in manufacturing, robots are used in film (animatronics), art projects, emergency rescue, and they are a great way of encouraging collaborative and cross-curriculum work, as they cover, math, science and engineering.
