Knowvember - Casual beginners workshops on design, ICT and technology for teachers who like to get hands-on. http://wellingtonmakerspace.com/knowvember/
Every Friday in November we are going through simple and dependable activities that you can use in your classroom. These workshops are designed for teachers of year 5-10. For beginners and the inquisitive who like to get hands-on with a project. We make sure that you leave with not only ideas but also something tangible too.
Only $75 + G.S.T
2:30pm - 4:30pm (Afterwards we can go to The Hop Garden next door for networking)
Limited to only 10 people per workshop, so book in quickly. We can supply laptops, but if you install any required software beforehand you are welcome to use your own laptop. Afternoon tea and coffee (roasted here) supplied.
Making in 3D - Moving away from Paper
Tired of the same 2D outputs, we will demonstrate other ways of presenting work that isn't paper. We will go through a brief tutorial on the simple 3D software Sketchup, and see how that work can then be created using 3D printers, scroll-saws, laser cutters and paper cutters, as well as presenting the work online (if you don't have access to the tools). We will also have a play around with a 3d scanner.
Refunds offered if:
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
