Mini-Makers: Digital - Creative Computing 2014

Mini-Makers: Digital - Creative Computing

Creative Computing is a weekly after-school club for girls and boys interested in the creative use of computers.

Join us as we explore some of the cool and creative things you can do with computers (including playing/making games!) at The Wellington MakerSpace.

The club meets every Thursday during school term from 4pm to 6pm. Every session has an adult supervisor and a techie person to help out.

Kids and tutors decide what they want to do for each month's series of sessions! How cool is that?

Sponsored by The Wellington MakerSpace - so we'll have all the cool gear to use too - but we only have 10 laptops available at the moment - so please do bring your own to help us out!

Club nights are built around four important elements:

Exploring

Imagining

Creating

Sharing

Some of cool stuff we plan to explore is:

3D design

Animation

Game Making

Web Publishing

Video Art

Electronic Music

The club is designed for 8 to 12 year olds but learners under 8 are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

Hi people, the weather is horrible and Kriston and his boys can't make it because one is sick (get better soon) but we're still on. The plan is to do some creative challenges using applications we've used before. See you at 4.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
