Don't Try This at Home Werewolves Game Night

Anyone who knows Tazz knows he likes to experiment and follow the road less traveled; Draw outside the lines. Rules and recipes are only guidelines.

In honor of his birthday we are having a werewolf potluck where the theme is "Don't Try This at Home".

• Bring food that's new and adventurous to you. Try a new recipe or buy something weird to bring (But don't break the bank: If everyone brings something to share for 2-4 people, there should be plenty).

• Wear a new outfit that you normally wouldn't.

• And let's try one or two villages that break all the rules, that no one has ever done before because it's too crazy. It might not work, but it might be the most fun you've ever had. Let's break things.

New players are always welcome. We typically have 30-50 people show up, and there are always many people new to our group. We will split out into multiple 10-15 player villages, and we will go till 2am ;)

Okay to bring alcohol, but don't break it out before 9pm (in case church board members visit). Also, no food or drinks allowed upstairs.

Please invite friends but have them RSVP on this meetup. If the event fills up, please join the wait list since there are always drop outs as we get closer to the day.

I played the minion village, everyone's a seer, and Luke skywolfer. All seemed to work nicely and pretty exciting. I heard the tanner suicide pact worked well too, but I didn't get to try it. We can try these at future gatherings.

Thank you everyone who came out! What a great way to grow older without growing up! Big shouts to Aaron Newman and Gordon for hosting and more shouts to everyone who brought dressed up and brought creative food. Woot!

Suggestion for village, ten people. One werewolf, two villagers, one witch, six minions (who do not know the identity of the werewolf and vise virsa). Now everyone wakes up and calms to be on werewolf team.

In the UW instruction booklet Ted talks about that. He has 6 different voting options and then every night you role a D6 to determine which method to use: nominating, mob style pointing, survivor method, and can't recall the others. Might be that one roll is no kills, or two day kills, or two kills at night, etc.

Here is my wacky village: Supernatural Love and War
      3-4 teams
      2 werewolves
      2 vampires
      2 hunters
      4 villagers
At the beginning of the game two of the werewolves / vampires fall in love so that either there will be vampire, werewolf or a star crossed vampire - werewolf love match. Also the hunters know each other. Then day breaks and let the distrust begin (Also silver bullet rule: if the hunters manage to kill off all the supernaturals the village wins)

I'm planning on running a 10 minute game called "Who wants to be a werewolf?" that can take any number of players and doesn't require cards. Note that as a rule I think everyone should use cards to play werewolf, specifically Ultimate Werewolf(tm) cards, but I'm breaking that rule. But it's a really really good rule. :)

Argh! I love breaking all the rules! But I will be out of town camping Wed-Sun that week. Guess you can't have it all. Looking forward to next time :)
