Writers Critique

Writers will submit their works in progress in the files section for other members to read and write comments on. If possible, please bring a few copies to pass around just in case, but this is not mandatory.

This group is self-sustaining. I expect to attend every meeting I post, but, in the event I, suddenly, can not, if an assistant organizer is able to attend, they can help lead the group for that specific meetup.

Members are encouraged to keep sharing to 10-15 minutes each, if the group is larger.

Also, please note, there are submission guidelines. They are listed as 'Submission Guidelines' under the 'Discussions' tab. There is a format we follow in an attempt to keeps things moving along in a freindly, yet, concise manner.

I've been doing a little house cleaning and came across a bunch of paperwork that I'll be bringing to this meetup and the next few until they're gone. I don't know how I collected so much, but, I'm looking to get rid of it all and not throw it out. Some of the handouts may be duplicates to what I've given out before, but, not all of them are. You're to take any of them, but, if interested, they'll be available.

By the way, it might be that I need to cut out a tad early, meaning around 3 p.m.. That certainly wouldn't mean that those of you want to stay longer, can't do so. The table is reserved until 4 p.m., but, as long as there's no other reservation for it or something, we have the table for a while. Also, on that note, the manager said that she will have a sign up on the table as early as 12:30. I plan on getting there at about then ... just because .... maybe we can start early, or not .... But, we'll see. I'll see about monthly reservations of the table when I get there Saturday .... blah ....

Glad you were able to get something in. It ought to be a pretty good afternoon, based on past experiences.... Thanks submitting something and joining us.

I did reserve a table this time. So, we won't have to be running around looking for each other, look for the table upstairs by the kids section.

I missed the deadline to submit so I will catch the next one.

How about I cut everyone a break and let anyone who still might want to attend this Meetup, post their work by tonight? I don't have a problem cutting people a break once in a while. I know I've made mistakes, so, it's only fair to allow others the same courtesy and understanding.

This will still work out for me, as it's a weekend, and I'll be back for my trip. I look forward to seeing you all again.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
