Board Games

Come play board games... and card games... and pretty much any type of game. No RPG on a week night. Hope to see you there. We carry soda and chips typically. If you would like to bring something more feel free.

Haven't played Catan in a while. Not really into Dead of Winter. FYI - my go-to zombie game is Last Night on Earth. If not Catan, looking for one of our oldies, but goodies. Maybe Small World. Or Elfenland. Or Kingdom Builder.

I just got a new expansion. I'll bring it the first week of September.

I am bringing Dead of Winter again. I want to play it on hard mode this time which starts the game with zombies on the board. Rishi and I are in, so that leaves 3 more players. Respond here to reserve a spot.

    Hearts? Monopoly? Yahtzee? Gin Rummy?

Board games, hence the meetup name, not cards. Although we have played deck building games we typically stay away from anything you can play with a deck of Hoyle or Bycicle. Also, Typically not luck based games. Games that require strategy. Even though we have played the occasional cards against humanity and dixit.

Yes, like Liza said, we play a lot of games that you have never seen before. You might have a hard time starting up a a classic card game. Actually, we play so many new games that most of us haven't seen them before. Make sure you bring your reading glasses if you need them, because some of them have instructions written right on the cards to help you play. They're not hard, but they are different.

More like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Last Night on Earth, Qwirkle, Jungle Ascent, Lords of Waterdeep, Hive, Kingsbury and Cosmic Encounter. Just to name a few of my faves. Think Eurogames - otherwise known as Designer Board Games or German-style Board Games. Not that the games listed below aren't oldies and goodies (believe me, I love a good game of Gin Rummy!), but they aren't what we generally play. :)
