At Trivia Night from now on, please be respectful of those interested in playing the trivia game and step away during the game if you are not playing. At many recent Trivia Nights, especially last night, those who are not interested in playing the game have been loud and disruptive, enough to make it very hard for those who are playing to hear the questions asked and otherwise enjoy the event. The hook of the time at O'Connors, what brings us all there, is Trivia Night, and many people come to O'Connors for that. You can attend Trivia Night just hang out, and you are more than welcome to before the game starts, in between rounds, and after the game is over. That said, while the game is actively going on, please be respectful of those who are playing and step away during the game if you are not playing. If our team gets two big (i.e. more than 10 or 12), for future nights, plan on splitting into multiple teams.
I am very happy to see that Trivia Night makes a lot of you happy and I am excited to see you all again. I enjoy to see all of you who show up, and for those of you who haven't shown up yet, I encourage you drop by. It's a great time.
For those who ask for more events, I just announced Karaoke Night for December 14. I right now am doing it by myself (many organizers are no longer active members). But if anyone wants to help, let me know. I keep the formula pretty simple (Trivia Night, Karaoke Night, Happy Hour, and a seasonal type of event) and I am looking for some help in being there for events, and of course good ideas. It isn't that hard of a job if there are multiple of us. Please let me know if you want to help.
