Saturday Afternoon Rincon Ride (Advanced Beginner to Intermediate)

Changing this ride up a bit. Time is in the afternoon for now due to scheduling conflicts.

Still an adventure ride, not a planned route quite yet- however less time will be spent in Wilder Ranch.

15 miles

Less than a 4 hour ride.

If the dirt lot is full park along-side the road on the same side of the lot just before or after it. If you're familiar with the Rincon pullout on HWY 9 in Santa Cruz- that is our meeting spot.

From San Jose: Take Hwy 17 to Santa Cruz. Go straight toward Santa Cruz and stay to the right. Turn right on River Street-turns into Hwy 9. Go 2.4 miles up and you will see the large parking area on the right.

As always a helmet is required for all SJMTB rides and extra protective gear is recommended if you are tentative about riding down rocky trails. Extra water, a snack, and your basic trail side tools (multi-tool, tube, pump) should be sufficient for this longer ride.

Again, I have to un-join a ride. Apologies for the last minute change. At least there wasn't a waiting list this time. Going to do a shorter ride close to home. Tried to ride Fremont Older last night and really felt poor, still do. Be Safe, Live Long, Ride Hard.

Reminder for everyone to make sure to bring enough water for a long ride. And a spare tube should always be in your pack. See you all there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
