Want to get your cardio on? Tackle all those climbs and elevation changes? We've got the ride for you.
Kennedy is a particularly hard climb, but once you hit Priest Rock it's all downhill and smooth sailing. On this ride we'll just try to get to the top of Kennedy RD and hit Priest Rock, then head back down. You can see the ride here:
If we move fast, we can probably make it in 2 hours, going up Kennedy takes me roughly an hour from downtown, going down takes about 30 minutes.
I'll start off making this an intermediate ride since the climb is pretty rough, but if there are any beginners who want to join, just let me know and we can modify the game plan.
As always a helmet is required for all SJMTB rides and extra protective gear is recommended if you are tentative about riding down rocky trails. Extra water, a snack, and your basic trail side tools (multi-tool, tube, pump) should be sufficient for this longer ride.
