THURSDAY EVENING BOOT CAMPS
As many of you may know by now I'm sort of a endorphin junkie. I work out all the time. I have a small group I train with at work, I'll hit the gym on my way home from work, or go for runs on my non-ride days. I more recently discovered training at Elite Personal Training here in San Jose. My wife has been a client of Laura's for over a year now and has lost a lot of weight, gained awesome amounts of muscle and even more confidence. We have been trying to get people to come out to the DJ Boot camp for a while now, but it seems 9:30 on a Saturday is prime time riding time for most folks. So now along with the 1st Saturday of every month, my wife and I will be training on Thursday at 6:30pm.
Making sweat angels
Boot camp workouts are not anything like what you may think of when you hear the words boot camp. In fact there's no yelling or in your face trainers at all. It's just a good group of people working hard with a trainer that pushes you to your limit while making sure that you're not going to hurt yourself. Laura is always full of energy and fun ideas for workouts so it's never the same when you go in. It's easily one of the hardest hour long workouts I do to keep fit.
If you're free Thursday evenings then come on by. It's just $15 to drop in and if you like it you can sign up for the month. Laura, being a certified personal trainer, also offers lots of other options for busy people that want to get fit and don't want to waste their time and money in a gym not seeing results. Everyone who has come with me so far has had a great time and an even better workout so we hope to see you out there soon.
