Santa Teresa (Beginners Ride) Easy Pace

I ride Santa Teresa a lot.  Yet I rarely get the opportunity to show newer riders this park as I'm usually riding the more advanced technical trails during our Intermediate level Wednesday night rides.  This ride is going to be something entirely different.  We'll start from a small lot down the road and get right to riding sweet single track.  There is a little known trail that runs along the creek and paved path.  It features almost no climbing and is full of fun little twist and turns to give newer riders plenty of a warm up before we climb into Santa Teresa Park.

Now this ride is technically not all inside of Santa Teresa (STP) but it features a trail that I frequented for weeks before making my way onto the more technical trails of what is now my favorite local ride.  If you're just starting out or just getting back from some time off the bike this is a great ride for you.  We'll take it easy with our pace along trails where it will be very hard for anyone to get lost or separated on.  As always you're in good hands when you ride with us and I'll do my best to ensure everyone has a great time.

See you out on the trails,

David B.

Never beginner or easy pace when riding with David. Pace is as brisk as you want it to be.I still suck at Stiles

What is the elevation for this ride? Is it gradual with flat or downhill interspersed with the uphill? I want to make sure I am not in over my head.

Thanks David. That sounds great. I hope you do it again in a couple weeks as I had to take my bike into REI tonight for my new bike tune up and found out I will not get it back until next Tuesday. I am then going out of town for a few days so I am bummed I have to miss the ride tomorrow.

did you buy the bike at REI? If you're paying for that sort of service I would suggest taking it in to our guys down at Summit in Los Gatos. Turn around should be a bit quicker on a tune up and they give San Jose Mtb members 20% service.
