Harry Road, San Jose, CA
I've got to change things up a bit this week and ride on Saturday. So in lieu of a Sunday afternoon easy beginners ride I'll be leading a ride for advanced beginners at Santa Teresa Park. The ride will be a modified version of my usual route and cover about 10 miles or so. This ride will be for riders used to riding in groups that can go at a steady yet social pace. Think chatting on the uphills and ripping on the downs. We'll keep together and meet at the intersections as usual.
If you have never been to Santa Teresa, but keep hearing about it, this is the ride for you. We'll hit the best trails and have a great time while not setting any records. Up stiles trail which is full of rocky switchbacks. The over to Coyote peak via the fire road where we'll connect to Rocky Ridge. Down rocky ridge, a fast and technical rocky trail, to the meeting of Fortini trail. Then we'll go up the Mine trail wall to hit Stiles in the reverse/fun direction. The trails here are rocky and can be brutal on bodies so some may choose to wear armor for the decents.
Hope to see some of you out there. Cheers,
