After all this time off the bike, I miss DEMO, yes I miss DEMO!!
Look for my Silver 4Runner with the Dirty Jane stickers in the Big Dirt Lot
Since it will be my first time back to Demo (since I broke my arm) in over two months, we are sticking with the easier and shorter route.
WOMEN are encouraged to join, and will NEVER be left on the waitlist. LADIES FIRST!
This will be a supportive ride, no drop, no pressure to be fast, but plenty of encouragement to not give up! Lord knows I need it...
Fireroad to Ridge (not using Cusacks)
Be ready to climb, climb, climb at a SLOWER pace
This ride is meant for those who have been off the bike for a while, post recovery, or ready for a bit more of a climb challenge, and anyone who wants to ride with a supportive group at a recreational and social pace.
Advanced beginner means you can (usually) keep riding without having to stop and walk- up or downhill. We will be taking the easiest of all trails at this location. The steepest downhill section of this ride is smooth, not rocky. The climbs are a long slow grind in your granny most of the time. We will re-group and break at intersections. If you don't know the area and/or have questions, please ask.
We will not be wandering off to any other trails, we will mix up routes in the future, for now just getting back in motion!
Pack plenty of water and energy snacks to get through the ride, it may be HOT and DRY, but we will be in the SHADE which is NICE!
Don't forget to always have an extra tube in your pack in the event of a flat.
Summit store for a well-deserved lunch afterwards- AWESOME :)
