Serve Dinner at the Cot Shelter

The Pioneer Valley Secularists, in conjunction with dozens of groups in the Pioneer Valley, are serving a monthly meal at the Interfaith Cot Shelter in downtown Northampton.

We will be serving an appetizer, dinner, dessert, and beverages for approximately 25 people, including us. If you cannot serve in person but would like to contribute food or money to purchase food, please let us know.

There can be a maximum of 5 servers due to the size of the kitchen. Once we have five people RSVPed, or are close to the date, we will send out instructions and procedures and the meal team will plan the menu.

No worries. I think we've got it under control. You need to take care of yourself and your mom. Hope things calm down for you soon!

I was thinking of tacos. The prep is easy to divide up and could be beef or bean (meat/veg). We could prepare a bunch ahead of serving and then make special requests conveyor-belt style. Just a thought. I'd be happy to bring meat and cheese.

I always google around for ideas for big entrees and nothing really excited me. Tacos might take a little bit of effort, but we could do them. We could have a few pre-made with everything and we just keep the ingredient list small: lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, sour cream, meat (or not). Or maybe breakfast for dinner? Some kind of pasta bake?

    • Stacey maybe a breakfast casserole? I'd also be fine with tacos. We'd probably want a choice of meat or refried beans?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
