PVS Monthly Meeting/Discussion Group

We generally take a few minutes at the beginning of each monthly meeting to plan upcoming PVS community building efforts and events. The general discussions afterwards give members a chance to discuss relevant topics, current events, and explore new ideas.

Paid parking is available behind and across from the library. The meters accept quarters.

My wife (Deb) and I would love to attend the April 26 meeting. We currently live in western Pennsylvania where people still cling to their guns and religion. We are old enough to be thinking of retiring and moving to the place we'd like to eventually finish our lives. This group is one of the many reasons we've been looking at the Pioneer Valley. I have my own computer services company. Jack of all trades-not particularly good at any one thing. That's one of the reasons Deb and I have lived all our lives in the closet. I'm convinced that being open about our atheism would've seriously hurt the business. I also think it would have caused our children to be socially ostracized. It's a strange thought for me to think about being in a room full of others where one could actually be open and honest about one's skepticism. We're looking forward to it.

This could be a good topic to triw in the hat! I'm self employed too, and am on the same page as you. I Dont mix my personal beliefs or interest with my professional life. If I were a theist and had a donut shop, I wouldn't put scriptures on the bottom of my coffee cups either...

Hi everybody! We got bumped upstairs to the Coolidge Room in the library. It's the little museum on the 2nd floor.

Just ask a librarian for the Coolidge Room if you have trouble finding us!

4/26 is supposed to be my one day of the year, but it is also the day that the Friends of Northampton Trails and Greenways chose to organize a city wide spring cleanup. They had to appoint organizers, affix meeting sites and allocate resources so it would be a shame if few showed up. Supposed to only be 9-11am but worth doing could be worth doing 'til the sun goes down. If not, maybe there will be time for both. Might still have dirt under my nails and elsewhere.

I have a meeting with another group at the Forbes from 1 to 3, so if circumstances allow I'll stop by for the latter part of the meeting.

I am so sorry , but I totally forgot about a prescheduled event on my calender. My brain is still melting from the long winter.

I suggest for a topic the plethora of religious movies , including the Focus on The Family special movie event coming to Cinemark next month. :-D

Hi all! Shawn proposed that we poll folks for discussion topics and vote on the one we'd like to discuss at the beginning of the meeting to try something new. So if you have a burning question or topic please bring it to the meeting!
