Repeat for Wine 101 Class

This is a repeat of the Wine 101 class we are holding on Feb. 5th. I am doing this so more people have a chance to get in.

There are a few stipulations though:

1. RSVP's will only open the day after the first class.

2. This class will only be held if the first class was full. If there are a lot of late cancels or no-shows to the first class I will cancel the second class altogether.

3. Only members who were not able to get into the first meetup will be able to attend. If anyone from the first class rsvp's to this repeat class, your rsvp will be removed to make room for members who did not get into the previous one.

Please understand that I am trying to make this fair to all members!

                               Meetup Information

This will cover the basics of wine tasting. We will learn how to identify the key components of a wine, how to score a wine like the experts, the proper temperatures to serve wine and how to identify the style of a wine that is most appealing to your palate...

oh and, as usual, we will  be tasting 8 great wines

The cost will be $20  which covers the 8 wines + some snacks as usual (please pay at the register before you come to the back classroom.

* You know that Chad, the wine manager at Total Wine, always upgrades our wine selection because he likes our group...please don't ruin our reputation there by canceling last minute or being a no-show!

See you there,

-Chet

This was our first time holding a repeat wine event and I did that so that more people could get into the class. We will be posting the pics for tonight's wines shortly. The wines were the same in both classes except for two: 1) In the first class the 5th wine was a red blend - "Red Theory" from Columbia Valley, Washington......Tonight's 5th wine was also a red blend from Washington - Kestrel Vintners "Lady in Red". 2) the eighth wine in the first class was a "Philippe Lorraine Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva from Napa.....Tonight's eighth wine was a "Gordon Brother's" Cabernet from Columbia Valley, Washington and estate grown.

I hope you all learned at least a tip or two for tasting wines and enjoyed this type of class which was a blind tasting.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
