Wine Tasting...Taste of the Southern Hemisphere.

We will start the New Year out with a little wine tasting and education with a class at Total Wine.

As promised, since this event was so popular, it is time to try it again. Meet at Total Wine on 75th ave (Just north of Bell Rd. behind the Arrowhead Mall).The cost is $20.00 and we will get all this:

Eight wines -features white and red wines from Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and South Africa.

Private room -which we will have for about 2 hours

Glassware

Wine expert - who will talk and teach about the wines we are tasting

Handouts - printed materials with specific info. for our tasting

Cheese, crackers and bread(I will probbly bring some other snacks as well)

We will start at 6:30, so you are welcome to come a little early to look around the store.

When you arrive, go to the register first to pay your $20, then bring your receipt to the back room where we will have the class.

(We will continue to mix these educational wine tastings into our schedule every so often).

We had a great time, Tasted some wines that I would probably would not have bought before the tasting. Left the store with 3 bottles from the tasting. All three were from different countries.

Sounds like an excellent night. I really hope you can do this one again sometime, maybe, as I had to preside over a monthly Wednesday meeting which has clashed with Wine Meetups three times so far. I have done something about it. :)

Despite arriving a few minutes late and having to sit in the front of the class by the teacher ;-) this was a great meetup. Enjoyed our instructor, his knowledge and sense of humor really added to the fun. As always, a great meetup.

Another great meetup!! Total wine is a class act and they do a great job. We will continue these educational meetups from time to time. The 8 wines (+ the bonus wine) are pictured here with the description and price - Thanks to Jordan for helping with some pictures of the event. Also...Congratulations to the group for this event. After going through the paperwork, I see there was 100% participation tonight. That means "0" no shows!!!! Thank you all for taking the time to make it out for this one.
