Hey Wet Dogs were starting up our monthly "Paddlling to Dinner" trips again. Each month we'll pick a new restaurant location on the water and paddle there for dinner and a great sunset. MJ took me to this small, but very cool place for my birthday so this going to be added to the many places we've paddle to dinner.
What: The new waterfront restaurant "The Bait House" located on Clearwater Beach is our location this month. The Bait House is just that... a bait shop that added a very cool Key West style restaurant and bar. You walk right through the bait shop to the restaurant.
Itinerary: We'll put-in at the Clearwater Beach Rec Center just behind the tennis courts (Note: The google address say's Clearwater Beach Boat Ramp because the Recreation Center wouldn't come up on Google Maps) and paddle north around Island Way then south through the Clearwater Beach Bridge, then a mile up to the docks at the marina. There are some small boat docks to tie off the kayak to, then we'll walk up to the restaurant. After dinner with finesse we'll get back in the kayaks and then it's a short paddle back. Beginners and up paddle. Approx. 5 miles in inter-coastal waters.
Some past locations we paddled to dinner are: The Warf, The Pub, Moon Under the Water, Fish Tales, Frenchy's, Tarpon Turtle, Captain Jacks.
Cost: $26.75 if renting a kayak. FREE if bringing your own kayak
Bring: sunscreen, water, appropriate paddling clothing,
