What: survivorish/scavenger hunt on Coopers Bayou
Get to know others of like mind, discover Safety Harbor's waters, team build, and compete during this fun challenging event.
Form your own teams of co-workers or sign up friends and compete against other teams. No worries if sign up alone because we'll put you on a team.
Itinerary: This is a timed event using kayaking skills with wit and much enthusiasm. The day will start out at Coopers Bayou at 9:00 am. We'll unload the kayaks and lay them aside till later, then determine teams. Next instructions and rules are laid out to each team. Each team must perform a team building activity or answer questions about something relevant to ? to begin receiving portions of their map. Once all the map pieces are assembled your team is ready to begin paddling and searching for your teams designated color puzzle pieces which when assembled will reveal.... well we don't want to give it away so sign up and get in on the fun!
NOTE: The fastest paddlers will not necessarily win this event because their is some problem solving and team building involved. Paddle difficulty: Beginners and up. Open water and mangrove paddling. Approx. 2 miles.
- Some getting in and out of kayaks required.
Prizes: A special prize will be given to the winning team. After the paddle we'll meet up at "The Whistle Stop Restaurant and Bar" on Main St for food and drinks.
Cost: $40 if renting a kayak or $15 if using your own kayak
Note: It is up to you to change the Paypal cost number that is relevant to your situation
Bring: Water (at least 32 oz per/person), sunscreen, sandals with heel strap or water shoes recommended (that don't come off your feet), camera, team attitude.
