Hey Will,

Thanks for the home brew.  Hey are you going to the Home Brew thing in St. Pete this weekend?  MJ said something about it.  I’d like to attend it.  Also we’d like for you to see our new wooden CLC kayak.  We have a few things to do on it yet and since you are farer along on yours we thought you may have answers to a few questions.

Cmike

Mike & MJ -

Happy B-day guys...looking fwd to seeing you again!

I'm going to be trying to paddle my skin-boat this weekend, but had a moment of concern about the oyster beds you mentioned.  Can I carefully avoid these, or shoud I be renting?  Skin boats are pretty durable, but I doubt it would last long if scraping over the beds.

I also have a little homebrew I can bring along, but I may need to borrow some cockpit space (the skin boat is really shy on storage).  I'll put it in the car and see if I can find someone w/ a bit of empty room

See ya tomorrow.

Hey gang,

This trip is just about closed out. Here is some info you may need to know.

We are paddling our gear over to the island in our kayaks. It is about an hour or less paddle to the island. Once on the island everyone will set up camp. Later we'll paddle to Billy's for a late lunch and then back to the Island.

No presents please. Just your presents. Hey is that an oxy moron thingy?

Suggested gear to bring:

Tent(small enough to fit in your hatch), sleeping bag, chair for around the fire, appropriate clothes for paddling and wear on the island, water shoes or sandels, NO FLIPFLOPS due to oyster beds, bug spray, TP for you only, rain gear, gallon of water or so for 24 hours, camp dish or bowl and utensils, light for at night. These items must be able to fit in your kayak or a rental kayak from us.

We'll be back around noonish on Sunday.

Looking forward to meeting you all and celebrating our birthday's on this trip.

Carolina Mike and MJ
