February 24: Rising Valley (Richfield) Location Changed

There is an off-trail option. Eric Leading.

From the north or northeast take I-271 to I-77 south or just I-77 south. Take Exit-143 (Wheatley Road) and turn right (west). Wheatley becomes Broadview Rd, continue 3.5 miles to Newton Road, turn left, continue to the parking lot at the end of the road. From the South take I-77 north, exit to Wheatley road west bound, Wheatley becomes Broadview Rd, continue 3.5 miles to Newton Road, turn left, continue to the parking lot at the end of the road. From the Southwest take SR-303 east towards Richfield. Turn left onto Oviatt Rd, continue until the end at Rising Valley park. From the Northwest take Broadview Rd south, turn right to Newton Road, continue until the end at Rising Valley park.

Why Nots,
The Feb 24th hike has been changed to Rising Valley Park in Richfield,
(West Creek in Parma is not open yet). Still 9:30 a.m.

This hike is on trails for the first leg. The second leg is mostly off
trail, but fairly easy terrain. On the second leg, we will go in
search of the Wakefield trail, put in by the Sisters of St. Augustine,
about a half mile away. The first leg, plus short return back to the
parking lot is about 3 miles. The total for both legs is about 5 miles.

Plese note: Hiking boots are recomended and a practical choice of footware.

Thanks,
Eric

I thought we weren't doing this one because the park wasn't open.
