Prayers and Malas

Come and enjoy a calm and inspired evening engaging in beautiful and beneficial prayers to the Buddhas, making a traditional Buddhist mala and spending time together with like minded friends.  Mala is the Sanskrit word for rosary, which is a string of beads used to count prayers or recite mantras and is regarded as very precious.

No. 6 silk thread, used for stringing your mala will be provided.Please bring your own beads (108) which can include up to 4 marker beadsand a Guru bead as well as matching embroidery thread to make the tassel.We do have a good assortment of beads at the Center that can be used as marker or Guru beads.  You are welcome to look through them and use whatever you like.

Light refreshments will be provided.

6:00-6:30pm – Great Mother Prayers (Puja)

6:30-8:30pm – mala making
