Peabody Essex Museum Edit-a-thon

Come and join the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) for our very first Wikipedia edit-a-thon! PEM is committed to making information about its collections available to a global audience. At this first edit-a-thon, we’ll be editing Wikipedia articles and uploading images on our Native American and Chinese art collections using the resources and expertise provided by the PEM curators and staff.

More information can be found on the meetup page on the English Wikipedia:

This is exactly (I mean, EXACTLY) what every gallery, library, archive, and museum should do!

Hey guys, I won't be able to make it after all. :(

Cathy, I just got your message on my talk-page on Wikipedia, and would have been glad to help out if I could have come. Even though I'm actually not an editor at all but a coder of the MediaWiki software, I'm always willing to help out.

Excited to see everyone on Saturday! Remember, this edit-a-thon is BYOL- bring your own laptop! Please bring your own computer and charger. If you can't but still want to come get in touch with Ed (contact info on the event page). We might be able to provide a few, but we need to know ahead of time. See you all Saturday!

For those who can make it- don't forget to also sign up on the meetup page on English Wikipedia! You can put your username in the "Participants" section. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
