CUNKURI Dream-Dance-Drum Ritual and Feast---Healing Energy from "The Human Wild"

We now "live" in a church!  This is an appropriate step in our journey for appropriately honoring the very first, and longest living spirituality in human history!  Although we're housed in a Christian church, we are not compromising the Wild Shamanic worldview in the least.  (We will honor both Mother Earth and Father Sky as always, for example). It is significant that this church defines itself as "radically inclusive" and specifically respects lifestyle alternatives and alternative spiritualities.  When weather permits, we will also be holding the ritual outdoors (in keeping with Wild Shamanic tradition) on the adjoining property, perhaps combined with a "tribal feast" potluck picnic (though more likely, this will be next spring).

We usually have around 15-25 people participating in CUNKURI as we first dream journey, and then dance to ecstatic delight. The mixing of participants seems ever-changing ---some old, some young, all races and creeds (even children like it --it's much more fun than "Sunday School"). The CUNKURI ritual attempts to recreate the first spiritual impulse of humankind modeled, in condensed form, after the ecstatic dance rituals of the Kung San hunter-gatherers, spanning back at least 60,000 years.

We strive to move together as one organism, celebrating nature as did the first peoples.  With a spirit of "reverent frivolity", we begin the process of building up powerful joy-producing NUM source energy in order to make manifest our healing dreams of hope.  We dance, shake, embrace, spontaneously vocalize, and even transform into our totem animals to reach maximum ecstasy at KIA.  Then this accumulated NUM energy of "tribal love" is used to complete the healing process at the moment of TWE.  The greater the passion towards ecstasy, the greater the healing power.  (This is no "couch potato" spirituality; enthused tribal engagement is expected for full healing to occur.)

In this way, CUNKURI AWAKENS THE YOUTHFUL SPIRIT IN US ALL BY RETURNING US TO "EDEN" FOR OUR DEEPEST HEALING!

MORE INFORMATION (for those who want to get into it deeper):

Our shamanic spirit guide is Dr. Bradford Keeney.  Watch his video, everyone, please (it takes 15 sec before it finally starts):

This video is almost mandatory for who want to understand Wild Shamanism. And Wild Shamanism itself is extremely important for ANYONE on a spiritual quest.  WHY?  Because all seeking the deepest knowledge of any realm of experience, inclusive of spirituality, need to go to the source Truths of that realm.  For example, the source knowledge of chemistry is the Table of Elements; the source knowledge of Cajun cooking would be the original cuisines that merged to create it; etc.  From this basic principle, anyone seeking a deeper knowledge of spirituality should do more than study "the branches" but should go to the "the trunk of the tree" ---the source knowledge of the original human spiritual impulse.  This is found in the ancient rituals of the original African hunter-gatherers from which all humans were engendered.

Well, as this video shows, this is exactly the journey embarked on by Dr.  Bradford Keeney.  And he was an amazing "Renaissance Man" even before he began this anthropological quest immersing himself in so many varied spiritual traditions across the globe.  He wound up ecstatic dancing with the Kung San tribe ----which is, based on genetic mitochondrial analysis, the "Mother Tribe" of all humanity!

SO THIS VIDEO ALLOWS ALL THOSE ON A SPIRITUAL QUEST TO VICARIOUSLY EXPERIENCE THE ULTIMATE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY EVERYONE WOULD HOPE COULD BE THERE OWN  ---A TRUE JOURNEY TO SPIRITUAL SOURCE.  AND THEN, FINALLY, THE FRUITS OF WISDOM DERIVED FROM THE JOURNEY ARE OFFERED TO DEEPEN OUR WISDOM AND TO AWAKEN OUR DEEPEST SENSE OF SPIRITUAL DELIGHT!  Bon Apetit!

PS Can you see "Yours Truly" in the video dancing at the Bradford Keeney Toronto event? (not easy to spot even in full screen mode)

LESS IMPORTANT:   For those of a more scientific bent, have a listen to Dr. Dale's scientific defense of Wild Shamanism, as the first and deepest spiritual impulse ever embraced by the human species.  His recent talk, entitled "The Truth and The Wild", was given at the Theosophical Society of Detroit and is available in audio at his main professional site:

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
