GREETINGS ALL MEMBERS,
We welcome you to a country winter solstice at the Hekate Homestead.
The ritual starts at 7 PM and ask that everyone arrive at 6:30 PM so we may begin on time.
When we finish our Yule service we will be proceeding to one of our favorite eateries, The Hyde Park Brewery. Some of you may opt just for drinks/beer or order a full dinner, your choice. Atmosphere is Pagan friendly and they always take good care of us.
Please bring a $10 yule grab bag gift to share.
The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night, but it is never a time for despair. In the point of greatest darkness lies the spark of rebirth. Many cultures mark the longest night in a sacred way, for they know that from this point forward, the sun's light once again begins to grow.
The Winter Solstice is a time for gathering in and settling into our inner selves for the long winter. It is an excellent time for reflection and practicing being in stillness. We can undertake rituals and meditations to honor the sacred quality of the Cosmic Darkness, which carries all the energies of life, light, and magickal potential.
