The Art of Fielding: A Novel by Chad Harbach

We will be reading The Art of Fielding: A Novel by Chad Harbach for the June book (following our May meetup, for Open City: A Novel by Teju Cole, on 5/09).

Hopefully the weather by then will nice enough to allow us to meet in the park. If so, feel free to bring wine or whatever you'd like. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will send out a message the day before directing everyone to the regular location (The Counting Room).

Hope to see you there!

I also must miss (I have a Wednesday evening class thru August) but aim to drop by for the after-math.

Sorry to have to sit this one out, but Gretchen's mom is in town, so I'm otherwise occupied. I might be able to stop by for the after-bookclub-hangout.

I'll take your hardback Hunger Games books, Brenna :D I've been intending to read but the library hold queue is taking for-ever!

Hey, book clubbers - I'm running a book drive all through the month of June for our troops overseas. Do you have unwanted PAPERBACKS in EXCELLENT CONDITION in the following genres: mystery/spy/thriller, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, or any "bestsellers"? I would be happy to collect them at the meetup and add them to our donations so far. Cash/check/Paypal donations are also accepted for the purchase of boxes and covering of shipping costs. Check out the "Books For The Troops" event on Facebook.
