Please join us for a friendly figure out as you go kind of jam. Please bring at least three songs with you and enough copies for all that responded yes to the jam (You can see that on the right side of the page in the jam description).

If you play any other acoustic instrument please bring that too.

We will do this jam once a month and alternate Fridays with the Electric jam. Because it is going to be every other week only light snacks and soda/water will be provided. However if you'd like to bring your own feel free. However please no alcohol!

Hope to see regular attendance with this....

Though I love guitar, I am thinking of buying a ukulele for myself and my 3 kids to learn. I have researched Magic Fluke company's Fluke and Flea models and am considering the concert Flea. Does anyone in this group have one I could try, or maybe even one they'd like to put up for sale? We have no local dealers, though they are popular in the uke world.

Thanks guys. Now I know I want two ukes. One from a garage sale to plant pansies in or build a birdhouse, and one to learn. You should just hope I don't show up at a jam before I've learned the top ten chords, or worse with a 5 year old who thinks he is Steve Morse on uke.

I found another use for a ukelele... kindling.

That's right Skip, it's all coming back to me. Marc and Barry held me down while Skip did the pouring. I think there is a Gatorade stain on my shoes too. WTF (The name of that Scotch?) (No, Really, tell me the name of that Scotch)

Sounds like the real fun started after I left.

I was thinking the same thing.

FYI the PFS Spring Thing is coming up May 23-26. All inclusive music retreat for all ages at gorgeous Camp Canadensis. Many musical genres. Interactive song-swapping and instruction workshops by day, concerts put on by attendees at night. Stay in a family cabin and let your kids use the whole summer camp while you play. Or choose "late night jammers" to stay up all night, probably with a cold one and some serious enthusiasts. https://www.pfs.org/seasonal-ret...

Yeah, I was a bit tipsy after imbibing on that Gatorade. Or was it the contact high from all that scotch that Marc & Barry poured down Joe's throat?

It was musical... delightful... not a little bit frightful.

    Had a great time!

The jam was a lot of fun, as usual. I don't know how Marc and Barry were able to hold me down and pour Scotch down my throat, but that was not very nice! (What was that stuff called again?)

Guys. I just saw this. I can't make it. Sorry, I should have taken myself off the waiting list. Have a great jam. I hope to make the next one.

Posting a couple of songs for jam. No Bieber but maybe Miley.

Graceland might be a little too much so I added another easier song, but we can try it anyway!

Sorry but I think I will have to pass on this evening's festivities. I had four teeth extracted on Wednesday in preparation for a bridge and they are still sore. It seems worse in the evening. Hopefully, a few more days will make a difference. Have a great time.

I would also like us to do "You Don't Know How It Feels" which we did last time. Already posted. Just scroll back a few weeks. Could someone else please bring some Bieber?

Three songs I played before but would like to do them again: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com... and http://www.guitaretab.com/c/cat... and http://www.guitaretab.com/c/cat.... I will bring some copies but to be sure, download & print them for your self. I'm in the middle of bailing out my basement so, please forgive me. Time has been very short during these rainy days.

Sorry for your aquatic issues Skip. Let me know if you need a pump or other equipment to get it cleaned up. I have access to some equipment.

I've got to back out this Friday - my daughter's Prom. I should have known but I'm a "DD" or "Dumb Dad" (so named by my wife and daughter).

I posted 3 songs for Friday. I will hopefully bring a couple more also. Pretty busy and not a lot of time to consider these.

Hello finger pickers, It appears that I've done it again!!
I've misplaced my new Samson led guitar tuner (silver rectangular body) at somebody's house. If all you house hosts would check and see if a guitar tuner has magically appeared in your home, I would appreciate letting me know.........Tanx

A couple of responses. My immuno supressants present side effects that cause mild tremors which affect my timing. This really frustrates me and causes an over emotional response that leads to cascading uncertainty in my playing ability. There is nothing I can do about it, but live with it. Thanks John & Joe for the encouragement. Thanks Joe for the mic discount sale tip, but I have many wired 57's & 58's from my previous closed business That I've kept......................I'm Looking forward to many future musical jams with all you great musicians.

John, I'm intrigued as to what it was like with you running sound cold. I look forward to hear what you have to say. Hey by the way, really good jam at Glenn's last Friday except for my playing. I was terrible and now thinking that I should give up music altogether.

    April 20

    • John H.

Well, Skip, obviously don't give up music. We all have bad nights.

      April 20

    • Joe R.

Don't know why you think you were terrible Skip? Sounded OK to me. I wouldn't want to see you quit music. You've come too far. On another topic, did you get a chance to take advantage of the microphone deal at Guitar Center over the weekend? You can't beat $15.00 a piece for decent sounding microphones like the one I had Fri. night. I did a side by side comparison with my Shure SM-58 and there is not much difference to the naked ear. Digital Reference!

      April 21

  • John H.

Skip, After I played last night at The New Leaf, the sound guy had to leave. So, I took over the board for the night. I'll tell you about it when I see you. Some things I shouldn't put in digital writing.
